Does your child already wear glasses?

If your child has glasses this means they may already be myopic.

Do others in your family have glasses/contact lenses?

There's a 25% chance your child will develop myopia if one parent is myopic and a 50% chance if both parents are myopic!

How many hours per day does your child spend on close work (reading, tablet/phone, coloring/drawing, etc.) ?

Research has shown that spending more time on close work using handheld devices or reading instead of spending time outdoors increases the likelihood of becoming myopic. In recent events, with an increase in virtual learning, myopia prevalence increased 3x in young children during 2020 COVID-19.
